The fifth generation Toyota Prius will be shown in December 2022. According to unofficial data, the model will be presented in two versions, standard and with the possibility of recharging from the network.
The regular Prius Hybrid will get an upgraded powertrain with a 1.8-liter engine and a new nickel-metal hydride battery, more efficient than the "fourth" Prius.
Of course, the design of the car will also change. There are various unofficial renderings of the new Toyota hybrid on the Internet, but the production car may look different.
If the presentation of the new Toyota Prius and Prius Plug-in Hybrid really takes place at the end of this year, they will go on sale in the summer of 2023.
The current fourth-generation Toyota Prius (XW50) has been in production since 2015 and was updated in 2018. A similar Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid (aka Prius Prime) debuted a year later than the base model.
