A prototype of the Electric Protected Military Vehicle (ePMV) is unveiled in Australia at the Chief of Army Symposium 2022.

The experimental armored car was built on the basis of the serial Bushmaster, but instead of the Caterpillar turbodiesel, it received a fully electric power plant. The characteristics of the system are not disclosed, the developers only noted that the prototype is much quieter than analogues with internal combustion engines.

The Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicle or Infantry Mobility Vehicle is an Australian-made all-wheel drive armored vehicle. Developed by the state-owned Australian Defense Industries (ADI) in the late 1990s, it is currently manufactured by Thales Australia.

Bushmaster is in service with the armies and other paramilitary forces of Australia, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Japan, Indonesia, New Zealand, Ukraine and other states.

Ukraine has received several dozen Bushmaster armored vehicles as aid from Australia. Since 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been using these vehicles in the war against the Russian occupation forces.

The armored car is capable of carrying 9 fighters. Provides protection against small arms and mine explosions (6 kg of TNT), which complies with the STANAG4569 standard.
