Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov confirmed the receipt of a new batch of M270 multiple launch rocket systems from the UK.

Alexey Reznikov reported on Twitter that the Ukrainian military is skillfully using new weapons on the battlefield in a full-scale war with Russia. The Ukrainian minister also thanked his British counterpart Ben Wallace and all the British people for their support.

The number of M270 MLRS transferred is not specified. However, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace announced earlier that three such systems and a "significant number of missiles" for them would be sent to Ukraine.

The UK Defense Secretary said precision-guided weapons such as the M270 are helping the Ukrainian military hit Russian ammunition supplies and command centers.

He added that Britain was "very happy" with Ukraine's use of rocket launchers already provided by the West. According to him, the Ukrainian forces have shown that they are much better at distinguishing which targets to hit so that they do not quickly run out of ammunition. Ben Wallace noted that this is part of Ukraine's transition from using old Soviet-era weapons to modern NATO weapons.

As of today, it has been officially announced that Ukraine has received multiple launch rocket systems capable of launching Lockheed Martin GMLRS missiles from three countries. These are the USA (HIMARS), Great Britain (M270) and Germany (MARS III, analogue of M270). In addition, Norway transferred part of its M270s to the UK to replenish the stocks of weapons sent to Ukraine.

According to the announced data, in general, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon have 25 MLRS for GMLRS missiles with a range of about 80 km. Their total simultaneous salvo will be 204 missiles.
