The Offroad Package II gives the Japanese-market Toyota RAV4 a bit more rugged style, additional powertrain and color options. It's somewhat similar to the RAV4 TRD Off-Road available in the United States but with its own unique features.

Toyota is adding a new trim to the body, called Gori Gori Black. With this monotone paint option, the trim will appear on lower front fascia, wheel wells, mirror caps side sills and rear bumper. The top part of the nose is completed with a two-tone body color.

The Offroad Package II is available in Super White II, Gray Metallic, and Attitude Black Mica in monotone. The two-tone choices are Attitude Black Mica and Urban Khaki or Grayish Blue and Attitude Black Mica. This model comes with black and red accents on the interior. The seats are upholstered in perforated synthetic leather.

The Offroad Package also II increases the RAV4's suspension by 0.39 inches (10 millimeters), outfitting it with a set of 18-inch wheels in matte black finish and 225/60 all-terrain tires.

The RAV4 with the Offroad Package II comes standard with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that produces 169 horsepower (126 kilowatts) and 153 pound-feet (207 Newton-meters) of torque. A hybrid-assisted 2.5-liter four-cylinder is also an option. Toyota's Japanese market specification sheet does not reveal the overall system output, but this combination generates 219 horsepower (163 kW) in the US-spec model.

The Offroad Package II with the 2.0-liter engine is priced at 3,884,000 yen ($26,845 at current exchange rates). The cost of the 2.5-liter hybrid is 4,503,000 yen ($31,119).
