Mercedes-Benz has updated its compact B-Class family car. These changes are intended to keep the third-generation model fresh as it competes against BMW's new 2 Series Active Tourer.

For the 2023 model year, the Mercedes-Benz B-Class gets revised headlights that can be optioned with LEDs and a discreetly updated grille. There are four new options for alloy wheels, measuring up to 19 inches. If you pick the AMG Line variant, it comes with gleaming black wheels with a multi-spoke design.

The interior is largely unchanged, with a 10.25-inch touchscreen for MBUX and a standart 7-inch instrument cluster or an optional 10.25-inch display.

A new Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel is installed as standard and it can be heated for the first time in the AMG equipment variant. The entry-level trim comes with a rearview camera, USB Package, and improved seats while the more expensive builds offer new color combinations for the upholstery as well as a star pattern.

The only modification under the hood is a new electric motor that now produces an extra 7 horsepower, bringing the total to 127 hp of plug-in hybrid model b250e. The battery can now be charged with alternating current at up to 11 kW and via a DC connection at 22 kW, which takes 25 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent.
