Even though the sedan might be Rumored to be discontinued, Volkswagen's midsize car has been seen testing again as a wagon. The estate's electrified nature is clear on the driver's side, where the charging port is located on the front fender.

The prototype has some camouflage to cover the front grille, headlights, and taillights. It's there to make the test vehicle look like the outgoing Passat. The front "fog lights" are simply stickers. Additionally, the back apron is hidden and difficult to see.

If you take a look at the side profile, you'll see that the car's true identity is hidden in the greenhouse. This is because the shape of the quarter glass is different than before. The recess for the handle on the door panel is wider than on previous models. This means that the handle itself is also wider.

The front fascia of the car in the spy shots is interesting. You can also see the back of the infotainment. The Golf is getting a new look, and so is the Passat. It looks like they are both going to have screens that are like tablets, like the ones on the ID.3 and ID.4 electric models.

The mainstream family hauler, riding on the MQB platform's evolution, will be the last Passat offered with a combustion engine. Volkswagen plans to release production versions of the 2022 ID. Aero and 2018 ID. Vizzion concepts, which will be similarly sized EVs. The MEB-based automobile will be introduced in China during the second half of 2023, with Europe and the United States following.
