Toyota has now revealed an all-new, fully electric bZ3 sedan in China. The vehicle was a collaborative effort with China's FAW Corporation and is equipped with a BYD battery.

Toyota bZ3 is a midsize sedan based on Toyota's e-TNGA global platform. The car measures 4,725 mm in length, 1,835 mm in width and 1,475 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,880 mm. Therefore, the bZ3 is a little longer than the Toyota Corolla, and even has a longer wheelbase than the Camry.

The model uses a single rear-mounted electric motor, which is available in 135 kW (181 hp) and 180 kW (241 hp) maximum power options. The top speed is limited to 160 km/h on both models.

Its lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, provided by BYD, holds 49.92 kWh or 65.28 kWh, giving the vehicle a range of 517 km to 616 km in CLTC range. The range will be smaller in both the European WLTP cycle and the American EPA test, but since the bZ3 is designed for use only in China, no other information on this parameter is available yet.

The car's interior includes the Digital Island system, which is a large vertical center display integrated with a tray-type console. The central control screen allows the driver to manage air conditioning, music, and trunk opening. Other features available in this car include driving assistance functions, wireless charging, and smartphone linking.

As of now, Toyota has not released any pricing information for the new model.
