The new Granturismo will be available in electric Folgore (for lightning) or Nettuno V6 petrol variants. The 2+2 electric Granturismo is equipped with more than 755 hp and 1352 Nm (997 lb ft) of torque, can sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.7 sec, and has a WLTP official range of 450 km (280 miles).

Priced from nearly £200,000 (244,220 USD or 232,176 euro), Granturismo Folgore is Maserati's long-awaited answer to the Porsche Taycan and will arrive as part of the marque's rapid-fire electrification push, which will phase out combustion power entirely by 2030.

The Folgore is powered by a 93kWh (83kWh usable) T-shaped battery, hooked up to three in-house-built motors (one on the front axle and two at the rear), which allow for both rear- and four-wheel drive. The battery can be charged at speeds of up to 270 kW, putting it among the fastest-charging EVs on sale.

The final prices for the new Granturismo models will be announced as we get closer to their launch dates. The V6 car is scheduled to come out in spring 2023 and the EV will follow in the second half of that year.
