Hyundai has unveiled a refreshed version of its i20 compact hatchback with updates to its exterior, interior, and tech features.

The changes give the i20 a sharper look at the front, thanks to a redesigned bumper and a new grille. The rear bumper has also undergone a redesign, complemented by three new exterior color options: Lucid Lime Metallic, Lumen Grey Pearl, and Meta Blue Pearl.

Inside, the cabin now has a Lucid Lime interior color package, embossed horizontal elements, and vertical lines on the seats. The upgraded cabin also features a 10.25-inch instrument cluster display and infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Other interior features include a wireless charging pad and a Bose stereo.

Hyundai has expanded the i20's Smart Sense safety suite by adding cyclist identification to its forward collision avoidance assist and lane following assist. Optional tech features include rear cross-traffic collision assist, blind-spot collision avoidance, and smart cruise control.

The i20 is available in Europe with a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine, which comes in two power options - 99 horsepower or 118 hp, both with a 48-volt mild-hybrid assist. The powerplant can be paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox or a six-speed manual.

The i20 is set to go into production in the third quarter of 2023 in Izmit, Turkey.
