An Alfa Romeo fan from South Africa has ingeniously merged two iconic models, the Brera and the 159, to create a stunning five-door hatchback that blends practicality with sporty allure. This remarkable project by Brendon M. Scholtz showcases his passion for automotive design and his dedication to crafting something truly unique.

The Brera, renowned for its seductive appeal, was originally available only as a three-door coupe or a two-door spider. However, Brendon saw an opportunity to transform the mechanically-related Alfa Romeo 159 into a more practical and distinctive variant. By utilizing a rear end salvaged from a damaged Brera and a well-maintained Alfa Romeo 159, he embarked on a journey to bring his vision to life.

The fusion of the two models required meticulous craftsmanship. The rear ends were seamlessly integrated by cutting and welding, while the profile lines were harmonized with some metalwork to accommodate the Brera's lower height and the 159's more upright roof. The resulting creation boasts a captivating red exterior with a black roof, complemented by the original multi-spoke alloy wheels from the 159.

This one-of-a-kind five-door and five-seater Brera hatchback would rival the rare midsize hatchbacks of its time, such as the Opel Signum and the Renault Vel Satis. It combines practicality with a touch of exclusivity, making it a perfect choice for a family adventure or a stylish photoshoot.

Brendon's future plans for this remarkable build include replacing the rear windshield, adding additional components like a roof spoiler, side skirts, and Brera's distinctive door-mounted mirrors, as well as lowering the suspension for a sportier stance. He is also seeking sponsors who can support him in completing his extraordinary project.
