Tesla's NACS connector, which is used for electric vehicle charging, is gaining support from various companies, particularly charging station manufacturers and operators.

Following Ford and GM's announcement to adopt Tesla's NACS connector in their future electric vehicles in North America, several EV charging companies have also announced their support for the connector. The support of major automakers like Ford and GM is expected to result in the NACS becoming the official standard connector for electric vehicles in North America.

The charging station companies that have announced support for NACS include:

  • ABB
  • Blink Charging
  • Chargepoint
  • EVgo
  • FLO
  • Tritium
  • Wallbox

ChargePoint, one of the charging station companies, plans to offer NACS connector options for their DC fast-chargers and existing products, allowing for cost-effective field upgrades for customers.

More companies are expected to make similar announcements in the coming days.

Electrify America, a prominent charging network, has not commented on NACS yet, but since its suppliers, like ABB and Tritium, are on the list of supporters, it is likely that they will also adopt the connector.
