Citroën presented the Type Holidays teaser at the Düsseldorf Caravan Show. The concept combines the iconic Citroën Type H with the more modern SpaceTourer, resulting in an interior arrangement that will soon be available throughout the Citroën network through a range that will be called "Holidays".

Citroën Type Holidays is less than 2 meters high, which means it can be parked in a parking lot (in town or at the beach) and used every day, all year round.

The French car manufacturer has chosen one of the world's leading specialists to equip the van: Bravia Mobil. This Slovenian company has provided the Citroën Type Holidays with all the necessary equipment for an ideal travel experience:

  • A pop-up roof that allows you to stand upright in the living space inside the Citroën Type Holidays and which houses a large bed to accomodate two people in night mode.
  • A two-row bench seat that opens up to form a comfortable two-person bed. And this bench seat is completely removable to free up storage space.
  • Two front seats that swivel round towards the living area of the vehicle.
  • A complete kitchenette (cooking area, sink, fridge)
  • A folding table for dining or working, and several cupboards for storing your belongings.
  • A Webasto heating system to ensure optimum temperature on board.

When the new product goes into production, it will be available for direct order through the Citroen distribution network. All you have to do is go to the Citroën configurator, design the camper of your dreams and when everything is ready, send the SpaceTourer (either with 145 hp diesel and 6-speed gearbox or with 180 hp diesel and 8-speed automatic) in the standard or the better equipped Max version to Bravia Mobil in Slovenia, where the interior will be finished. Then it is delivered via the Citroën dealer.

But if you like the Holiday style, then the van makes an extra stop at the Italian coachbuilder Caselani before it's delivered. There, they swap out the original headlights for Fiat 500 lights, adjust the tail lights, and install grey GRP components at the front, sides, and rear to give it a true Type H look.

Citroën did not share the exact pricing details, but we anticipate a starting price of approximately $55,000 for the less powerful version with standard features and without the Type H accessories, plus an extra $15,000 for the Caselani appearance.
