Previously hidden behind lightly camouflaged stickers, the ID.7 Variant now emerges without any disguise, offering a comprehensive look at its design. The latest images reveal a design that closely mirrors the sedan version, and while there are few surprises, the station wagon's unique elements shine through.

The front and rear of the ID.7 Variant mirror those of its sedan counterpart. Both feature the signature closed grille, sleek headlights, and a broad lower bumper opening. The rear end sports a striking light bar that elegantly houses the taillights—a design element that further enhances the car's modern appeal. While similarities are evident, the station wagon presents distinctive features in its roofline and tailgate.

In terms of power and performance, the ID.7 Variant is expected to parallel the sedan model. The rear-wheel-drive station wagon will likely house a single electric motor generating 286 horsepower (210 kW), aligning with the sedan's performance capabilities. Offering battery packs of 77 and 86 kWh, akin to the sedan, Volkswagen promises an impressive range of up to 700 kilometers on a single charge.

Looking ahead, it's anticipated that the ID.7 lineup will expand to include a twin-engine configuration, potentially impacting the station wagon's range due to added weight and altered aerodynamics. Despite these potential changes, the interior will likely remain consistent, with the station wagon boasting superior cargo space compared to the sedan.

With its ready-for-production look, experts predict that the official announcement for the ID.7 Variant is coming soon. A potential launch is anticipated for late 2023 or early 2024.
