Last week, Volvo released the first teaser of the upcoming EM90 electric minivan. And even though it will not be revealed until November, we can now imagine the EV's design thanks to unofficial renderings.

Despite being a speculative rendering, this design exercise is no shot in the dark. It is inspired by the official teaser video and heavily influenced by the Zeekr 009, on which the EM90 is believed to be based.

By operating under the massive Geely umbrella, the Swedish brand has access to readily available hardware. The preview presented last week heavily implied that the large and rectangular physique will predominantly stay the same, however with recognizable Volvo design traits. With minor adjustments to the front grille and lighting, it is expected to have a less dramatic appearance than the Zeekr 009.

Fitted with sliding doors on both sides, the 2024 Volvo EM90 is expected to offer a three-row cabin. A luxury version with two-row seating featuring individual rear seats is also conceivable. The Volvo EM90 promises to deliver the sensation of a "Scandinavian living room on the move."

Seeing as the model is designated as "90", it's expected to be quite large. This is supported by the fact that the Zeekr 009 measures 5,209 mm in length, 2,024 mm inches in width, and 1,867 mm in height, while boasting a wheelbase of 3,205 mm. Geely’s other luxury brand offers 2+2+2 and 2+2 layout options for their MPV.

The official debut of the Volvo EM90 is set for November 12. It will be held in China.
