  BMW abandons heated seat subscription due to low customer acceptance

  Charging a recurring fee for heated seats isn't gaining traction at BMW. In a recent interview, Pieter Nota, BMW's board executive for sales and marketing, disclosed that the automaker will cease offering a subscription model for activating a car's heated seats post-production.

  Nissan makes portable power sources by reusing batteries from old Leaf EVs

  Nissan worked with JVCKenwood Corp. and 4R Energy Corp. to develop a portable energy gadget using reused modules from its old Leaf electric cars. The goal is to extend the life of the high-voltage EV batteries that are no longer in use.
