The most noticeable alteration to the SUV is its missing roof. Kahn swaps out the Defender's regular roof for a detachable canvas top, enabling a convertible driving experience. This canopy extends over a novel roofing system crafted from lightweight NS3-grade aluminum, which is molded into shaped panels. The canvas covering can be tucked away in the cowl.
The conventional Defender's dark trim around the taillights has been omitted in the Flying Huntsman, merging seamlessly with a new roll bar-style feature. Besides the innovative roof structure, there are no other notable design modifications at the rear. However, the design sketches showcase the Land Rover with an updated grille. Based on individual preferences, the final model may undergo minor alterations.

Kahn remained silent on any changes to the drivetrain. Land Rover provides the Defender 90 with both gasoline and diesel engine options, depending on the region. This includes the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine, delivering 520 horsepower and 625 Nm (461 pound-feet) of torque, allowing the SUV to accelerate to 96 km/h (60 mph) in roughly 4.9 seconds.
The design company announced it would cap the production of the Flying Huntsman 90 Spyder to a mere eight vehicles annually. The initial batch is expected to roll out in Q2 2024, with a build time of half a year for each vehicle. Clients have the option to request uniquely tailored wheel designs to meet their tastes.
Afzal Kahn, the company's founder, expressed that this initiative is aimed at "keeping the art of coachbuilding alive and relevant." The firm has a strong presence in the automotive aftermarket sector, creating modification kits and enhancements for various brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Lamborghini, Bentley, and Jeep.
