Xiaomi's latest electric vehicle, the SU7 EV sedan, was recently spotted undergoing road tests in China. This top-tier model, identified as the SU7 Max trim level, showcases advanced technology like a LiDAR sensor on the roof and a Face ID sensor.

The SU7's aerodynamic design features include a sloping hood line and narrow headlights. The vehicle also features five-spoke wheels with yellow brake calipers, earning it the nickname "Taycan for Young People" in China due to its similarity to the Taycan model.

Inside, the SU7 is equipped with a large floating screen, a thin instrument panel, and a three-spoke steering wheel with a drive mode switch button. A notable addition is the Heads-Up Display (HUD).

The car's dimensions stand at 4997 mm in length, 1963 mm in width, and 1440 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000 mm.

It offers two powertrain options: a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) with 220 kW (295 hp) and an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) with 495 kW (664 hp). The RWD version features a LFP battery from BYD and a curb weight of 1,980 kg, while the AWD version includes a ternary (NMC) battery from CATL and weighs 2,205 kg.

Scheduled to enter the Chinese market in the first quarter of 2024, the Xiaomi SU7 will be manufactured by BAIC. Its expected price is around 300,000 yuan (approximately 42,300 USD), with more details set to be revealed in December.
