The next-generation Fiat Panda will be produced in Serbia, according to the country's president.
While discussing the car with members of the media, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he expects Stellantis to build it at a factory in Kragujevac, Auto News reports. However, he did not specify when production of the Panda EV would begin.
Despite the fact that we'll have to wait a while to see the new-age Fiat Panda in the flesh, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the new model. Visually, the EV is expected to take a lot of design inspiration from the 2019 Centoventi concept. It should be similar in size to the 2024 Citroen e-C3 and will reportedly adopt a "less-is-more" philosophy, harking back to the first-generation Panda that debuted in 1980.

The Panda EV will use the Stellantis Smart Car platform, which can also be found in the Citroen e-C3. The Citroen e-C3 has a single electric motor that produces 111 hp. As a result, it can reach a speed of 62 mph (100 km/h) in 11 seconds and a top speed of 84 mph (135 km/h). The little electric Citroen employs a 44 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. We can expect the Panda EV to perform similarly and potentially feature the same battery, reducing costs while allowing for a range of approximately 200 miles (320 km), more than sufficient for urban residents who are the most likely to purchase it.
Pricing is not confirmed yet, but it should fall between €20,000 (~$21,700) and €25,000 (~$27,100). It may be a little pricier than the e-C3, but it could also be more affordable than the Renault 5 and VW ID.2.
