China's Lynk & Co has unveiled teaser images of its next car, the 07 EM-P. It is a plug-in hybrid with a spectacular design and a powerful powertrain.

Lynk & Co 07-EMP is at the stage of road tests, so the design features of the car are hidden under camouflage. However, even with the camouflage, the sedan's aerodynamic profile, low-slung grille and hidden door handles are clearly visible. It was interesting to see the headlights and taillights, but so far these elements are camouflaged from prying eyes the best.

According to preliminary information, the 07-EMP is built on Volvo's CMA Evo platform. The same platform was used in the Lynk & Co 08 coupe-like crossover that was unveiled last year.

The powertrains of the Lynk & Co 07-EMP have not yet been officially announced, but unification with the 08 model can be expected. The crossover is offered with three powertrain options. All of them are based on a 1.5-litre turbo internal combustion engine with an output of 163 hp (120 kW).

The first two 08 modifications have an additional electric motor with an output of 218 hp (160 kW). This brings the total system output to 381 hp (280 kW/). The difference between the two is the battery capacity: the entry-level version has a 21.2 kWh unit, while the higher version uses a 39.8 kWh battery.

The third variant of the crossover's powertrain combines a 1.5-litre engine with two electric motors. The total output of the system is 593 hp (436 kW). The battery pack here also has a capacity of 39.8 kWh.

The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P sedan is expected to enter production next month. Sales will then start later in 2024.
