This is the first physical appearance of the Xiaomi SU7 in Europe.

Xiaomi SU7 had its world premiere at the end of 2023 in China. Now the famous Chinese company has decided to demonstrate its first electric car in Europe. It is indicative that the platform for the presentation was the MWC (Mobile World Congress) exhibition in Barcelona, and not the Geneva Motor Show taking place on the same dates.

Recall that in its home country of China, the Xiaomi SU7 will be available in two versions: the standard SU7 and the more expensive SU7 Max. "Regular" SU7 is rear-wheel drive (RWD) and is powered by a single engine of Xiaomi's own design, which develops 220 kW of power and 400 Nm of torque. This model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.28 seconds and is equipped with a 73.6 kWh battery, providing a range of 668 kilometres under China's CLTC standard.

The SU7 Max is all-wheel drive (AWD) and has two engines providing a maximum power output of 425 kW and 838 Nm of torque. This model is as good as the standard version in terms of acceleration and top speed, and can accelerate from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.67 seconds. It uses CATL's Qilin NMC battery with a capacity of 101 kWh, providing a range of 800 kilometres.

The SU7's battery charging capabilities are particularly impressive, surpassing the Tesla Model S Plaid. It can charge the battery for 390 kilometres in just 10 minutes, 220 kilometres in 5 minutes and 510 kilometres in 15 minutes.

Xiaomi has yet to announce when the car will be available for purchase and how much it will cost, but has revealed that it plans to be one of the top five largest car companies in the world. This means that it is quite possible that this car could be available for purchase outside of China.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said earlier that the SU7 will definitely not cost 99,000, 149,000 or even 199,000 yuan (roughly $13,800, $20,700 or $27,700). He also noted that such prices don't sound serious and confirmed that the real cost will be higher.
