In South America, Renault offers a local version of the five-door hatchback familiar to European buyers as the Dacia Sandero Stepway. It has an interesting design and a rather high price tag.

Kardian hatchback has appeared in Renault's Brazilian configurator. It allows you to look not only at expensive configurations of novelty, but also at the basic version. It is called Evolution.

Kardian is not yet available with a manual gearbox - only a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Engine: 1.0 Turbo with 120 or 125 hp, depending on the modification (adapted to run on ethanol or regular petrol) and 200/220 Nm of torque.

The Evolution version has 16-inch steel wheels with hubcaps that deceptively mimic an aluminium wheel, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, roof rack rails and protective plastic covers on the wheel arches and sills.

Even in the basic version of Renault Kardian there is a 7-inch dashboard display, multimedia system with 8-inch display and wireless connection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The list of equipment includes 6 airbags, height and depth adjustable steering column, automatic climate control, power windows and mirrors, rear parking sensors. On belonging to the simple configuration is indicated by the usual handbrake lever instead of the electronic parking brake key and not leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Such Renault Kardian Evolution costs 112,790 Brazilian reals, which is equivalent to just under 20,900 euros. By comparison, in Germany, the base Dacia Sandero Stepway costs €14,400. However, the Renault Kardian is much better equipped.
