The exterior of the N-Trek edition sees several redesigned elements that differentiate it from its base model. These include garnish around the bumper intake, LED fog lights, dark finish plastic cladding, blacked-out mirrors, door handles, roof rails, and a dark grille. It rides on exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels and is available in five color options: Gun Metallic, Champagne Silver, Ivory Pearl, Diamond Black, and Ceramic Grey. A notable feature is the option for a black roof on select colors.
Internally, this special edition is based on the mid-spec ST-L trim of the standard X-Trail but includes some unique additions such as synthetic leather upholstery with water-resistant qualities. It retains many standard features like dual 12.3-inch screens, a 10.8-inch heads-up display, and Nissan's ProPilot safety suite. Buyers have options between a five-seater or seven-seater configuration.

Regarding performance, there are no enhancements over the standard model; it houses a 2.5-liter gasoline engine capable of producing 184 horsepower and 244 Nm torque. It offers both two-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) options paired with a CVT gearbox. However, it does not offer an e-Power hybrid powertrain option which might be seen as a missed opportunity for those seeking efficient off-road capabilities.
The N-Trek edition is now widely available across Australia marking a significant departure from its limited release in 2019 which was capped at 500 units only. Pricing starts at AU$ 47,290 (US$ 30,782) for the five-seater with two-wheel drive config $ 50 while the seven-seater with four-wheel drive is set at AU$ 50,390 (US$ 32,798).
