In preparation for its launch, the Range Rover Electric underwent rigorous testing in harsh environments. Pre-production prototypes of the electric SUV have been exposed to temperatures ranging from –40°C in the frozen lakes of the Arctic Circle to +50°C in deserts of the Middle East. Engineers focused on refining features like a new traction control system that enhances wheel-slip management for individual drive units and reduces torque reaction time dramatically from 100 milliseconds to just 1 millisecond.

The power of the Range Rover Electric is anticipated to exceed 500 horsepower due to its all-new electric propulsion system, likely making use of a dual-motor setup ensuring four-wheel drive capabilities. Production of this luxury EV will occur in Solihull, UK differentiating it from some other Jaguar models like the I-Pace manufactured in Austria by Magna Steyr.
