The car with a classic for the business class body has completed the model range of the A6 Avant presented at the beginning of March.

The new Audi A6 sedan with an internal combustion engine is naturally similar to the A6 Avant in many ways. Plus, both versions of the model are built on the same Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) platform.

The sedan boasts a drag coefficient of 0.23 - the best in the history of the brand for cars with internal combustion engines. This is made possible by carefully calibrated aerodynamics: from the air intakes and special pockets in the front bumper to the curvature of the boot lid and the large rear bumper diffuser.

Under the bonnet are the 2.0 TDI (204bhp) and 3.0 TFSI (367bhp) engines, both with the mild hybrid MHEV plus system. The latter allows electric propulsion when manoeuvring, in traffic jams and when rolling, adds up to 230 Nm of torque and 24 hp when accelerating, and recuperates up to 25 kW when braking.

The entry-level version gets a 2.0 TFSI petrol motor (204bhp) without the hybrid add-on. It is also the only front-wheel drive version, while the others are equipped with quattro all-wheel drive.

The new A6 is quieter inside: noise insulation has been improved by 30 per cent thanks to new door and window seals, and all wheels with a diameter of 19 inches or more are fitted with special noise-absorbing inserts. New engine and transmission mounts are also fitted.

Among the options - adaptive air suspension, which automatically lowers the body by 20 mm at high speeds to improve aerodynamics, and a system of thrusting the rear axle, increasing manoeuvrability in the city and stability on the highway.

The sedan will be produced in Neckarzulm, Germany. Prices start at 55,500 euros for the version with a 2.0 TFSI engine. Orders will open in mid-April, with first deliveries scheduled for summer 2025.
