The electric crossover Polestar 3 has entered the Guinness Book of Records by driving 935.44 km (581.3 miles) on a single charge. The record was set by the recently launched Long Range Single Motor version.

The run took 22 hours 57 minutes. The route was taken in changing weather conditions, including rain. The average consumption was 12.1 kWh per 100 km (19.5 kWh per 100 miles). Professional drivers Sam Clarke, Kevin Booker, and Richard Parker took turns at the wheel every three hours to maintain focus. The car managed to travel the WLTP claimed distance of 706 km (438 miles) while still having 20% charge left and added 12.8 km (8 miles) even after the display showed "0%". But it managed to reach a charging station before coming to a complete stop.

The vehicle was completely stock, without any modifications, with 20-inch wheels and standard Michelin Sport 4 EV tires. The record was documented by Guinness World Records judge Paulina Sapinska. Webfleet provided video footage, odometer data, GPS, and battery level. The run was supported by the British motoring club AA.

Matt Galvin, head of the British office of Polestar, noted that the drivers squeezed the maximum out of the Polestar 3. He also added that this achievement demonstrates how much the range of electric vehicles has increased in recent years. For a large premium SUV to cover a distance significantly exceeding the route from London to Edinburgh is an amazing result.
