The Kia PV5 Crew Van redefines commercial transport with its instant interior transformation system and E-GMP.S electric platform.

The new Kia PV5 Crew Van debuts in Europe with a smart solution for mixed transportation. It is designed for five people and offers up to 3.5 cubic meters of cargo space.

One move — two roles

The main feature of the novelty is the speed of transformation. Thanks to the one-touch system, the van transforms from a two-seater to a five-seater passenger van in seconds. A special lever unlocks the mechanism: seats unfold, backrests recline, and the internal partition shifts automatically. This is an ideal solution for service crews, builders, or municipal units, where in the morning a team needs to be delivered to a site, and in the afternoon — equipment or materials need to be transported.

This version of the model is based on the PV5 Cargo Long. In passenger configuration (5 seats), the cargo area length is 1278 mm and the useful volume is 2.4 cubic meters. If the seats are folded down, the platform length increases to 1965 mm and the volume grows to 3.7 cubic meters. L-shaped rails and anchor rings are provided for securing cargo, while the floor features a wear-resistant non-slip coating.

Technical features and capabilities

Beneath the body measuring 4695 mm in length is the E-GMP.S architecture — a special version of Kia's global electric platform optimized for commercial transport. A 51.5 kWh traction battery powers the 89.4 kW electric motor (about 122 hp). Preliminary data suggests that the range in the WLTP cycle will be up to 283 km, which is quite sufficient for urban logistics.

An important feature is the support of Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology. Sockets at the rear of the van allow powerful electric tools or diagnostic equipment to be powered from the vehicle's battery. As for charging, energy can be replenished from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes at DC stations. A full charge from an AC wall module will take just under 5 hours.

Safety and comfort

Despite its commercial status, the Kia PV5 Crew Van does not skimp on driver comfort. The equipment list includes heated front seats and a steering wheel, which for those who spend up to 8 hours behind the wheel, is not a luxury but a necessity. The driver assistance systems package includes:

  • front collision prevention system (FCA 1.5)
  • adaptive cruise control working with navigation
  • lane keeping system (LFA 2) with a hand presence sensor on the steering wheel
  • surround view system

Production of the model starts on April 30, 2026. Pricing has not yet been announced.
