Nardone Automotive reimagines the Porsche 928

The Porsche 928 produced over 60,000 cars in 17 years, but no successor to the model was ever created. Luckily, Nardone Automotive and eminent designer Carlo Borromeo decided to fix this by introducing a retro 928 from Nardone Automotive.

Nardone Automotive set out to turn the 928 into a modern GT, and it looks like they've succeeded. First, let's talk about design. Clearly, Carlo Borromeo took a "less is more" approach, retaining much of the 928's timeless design, updating key elements such as the headlights, taillights, wheels and, of course, the front and rear bumpers. The ultra-clean body, made almost entirely of carbon fiber, seems to take inspiration from the flared fenders of the 928 GTS, while the spoiler-free rear is more reminiscent of the 928 S4. The 928 from Nardone Automotive rides on 18-inch forged wheels, a reimagining of the old 16-inch sunroofs. The 928 from Nardone Automotive is a masterclass in respectfully updating the 928 automotive design icon, and doesn't it look fantastic?

Inside, the general architecture of the old 928 has been preserved, but the abundance of Foglizzo leather and Alcantara makes the updated 928 feel like a full luxury grand tourer. The gorgeous new instrument cluster looks straight out of "Ghost in the Shell" and the center console now includes Apple CarPlay-enabled Porsche PCCM so you can truly experience the luxury Hi-Fi system.

The upgrades aren't just aesthetic though, Nardone Automotive redesigned the naturally-injected V8 928 to produce the targeted 400bhp managed by a modern ECU. The transmission has been upgraded to a six-speed for more comfortable highway driving, and a limited-slip differential and active electronic suspension have been installed to help this 928 corner like Porsche should. The first deliveries are expected in 2024.
