From now on, the DS 7 Crossback is called the DS 7. However, this is not the only innovation of the flagship crossover of the French premium brand.

Restyling brought DS 7 design elements of the 2020 concept Aero Sport Lounge. The crossover received a larger grille, DS Pixel LED Vision 3.0 headlights, DS Light Veil daytime running lights and new wheels: 19-inch Edinburgh and Silverstone, as well as 21-inch Brooklyn. In addition, the rear LED lights have been redesigned with flake-like elements, and instead of the previous model name "Crossback", the tailgate is now branded with the "DS Automobiles" branding.

The DS Pixel LED Vision 3.0 headlights for DS 7 feature optimized light management while retaining the 3 modules per block that are common to the entire range. The luminous flux is more powerful, more uniform, with an increased range of up to 380 meters (high beam). At speeds below 50 km/h, the beam width is now 65 meters. The two dipped/side light modules light up together. External high beam modules have 84 LEDs arranged in three rows. Corner lighting is controlled by the intensity of the external LED modules depending on the steering angle.

unusual DS Light Veil is an effect in which the light seems to pass through the color of the car body. Each element consists of a daytime running light and four vertical luminous elements consisting of 33 LEDs. This innovation comes from the manufacturing process: the laser-etched polycarbonate surface is painted on the inside to give it a look that alternates between light and body-coloured parts. Giving an effect of depth and brightness, DS Light Veil lights up and goes out when locking and unlocking the vehicle.

The interior of the DS 7 uses new trim materials. Nappa leather is now featured on the front and door panels. The Performance Line version uses a deeper black Alcantara microfibre all over with Gold and Carmine accents. The interior of the Bastille performance has been updated with a new DS Canvas finish and a Basalt Black texture inspired by fish scales.

The multimedia system with a 12-inch display has a new interface. The list of crossover options includes the DS Night Vision night vision system, an active suspension that automatically adjusts to road conditions, adaptive cruise control, a vehicle lane keeping system and a driver monitoring system.

The DS 7 2023 is available in three hybrid versions with 225, 300 and 360 hp:

The DS 7 E-Tense 225 is powered by a PureTech 180 petrol engine and a 110-horsepower electric motor mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive.

The DS 7 E-Tense 4x4 300 and DS 7 E-Tense 4x4 360 have an all-wheel drive transmission, a PureTech 200 engine, and 110 and 112 horsepower electric motors on each axle. Due to the different settings of the units, the total power in these modifications is different

In hybrids, the new 14.2 kWh battery provides an electric range of up to 65 km in the combined cycle and up to 81 km in the urban cycle. Charging time is about two hours with a 7.4 kW charger.

The 130 BlueHDi diesel powertrain is still available in the range. Outside of Europe, 130, 215 and 225 horsepower PureTech petrol engines will also be offered.

The global version of DS 7 is being released in Mulhouse (France) for all markets except China. Cars for China are made in Shenzhen.

The European launch of the updated DS 7 is scheduled for September 2022.
