General Motors has unveiled an electric version of the Chevrolet Blazer crossover. The car looks like a gasoline namesake, but the resemblance is deceptive because it is built on a very different GM platform for electric vehicles.

The Chevrolet Blazer EV is based on the Ultium platform, which was also used in the GMC Hummer EV, Chevrolet Silverado EV and Cadillac Lyriq. The exact dimensions of the novelty have not yet been disclosed, but it is known that the length of the car is about 4.9 m. At the same time, the crossover has an impressive wheelbase and short overhangs.

The Blazer EV is the first Ultium-based vehicle to be offered with three types of drive: front, rear, or all-wheel drive.
