When the EV prototype hits the market, it will be electric-powered and equivalent to a 125 cc motorcycle. The design is intentionally not eye-catching or screaming that it's an electric bike. The design of the EV Prototype is very similar to the Kawasaki Z400, sharing the same frame.
The bodywork, tail, headlight cluster, and front suspension setup of the EV are all identical to that of the Z400. The most visible alteration is the smaller hump, due to the electric bike not requiring a gas tank. The brakes and wheels come from either a Z300 or Ninja 300 models.

The specific details regarding the prototype or production model are not yet public knowledge, and likely won't be announced until the unveiling of the road-going bike later this year. It is anticipated that the final product will look very similar to the EV Prototype.
Masaya Tsuruno, managing director of Kawasaki Motors Europe spoke about the company's plans at Intermot. He stated that three electric vehicles will be presented globally by the end of 2022. In addition, while Kawasaki is focusing on electric vehicles, they are not giving up completely on gas power and are exploring the use of e-fuel and biofuels.
