The brand's SUVs were the most sought-after models, with the Cayenne leading the pack at 95,604 deliveries, followed by the Macan with 86,724 units. The Porsche 911 came in third, with 40,410 units sold, while the Taycan and Panamera rounded out the top five, with 34,801 and 34,142 deliveries respectively. Notably, the electric sedan outsold the Panamera for the second year in a row, despite a 16% decrease in sales.
According to Detlev von Platen, a high-ranking sales and marketing executive at Porsche, "On the sales side, results have been positive in 2022. Porsche is in a solid position. And we're building on that basis." The company attributes the decrease in Taycan sales to supply chain issues, while the 911 saw a 5% increase and the Panamera experienced a 13% higher demand compared to 2021.

In terms of geographical market, China remained Porsche's top destination, with 93,286 vehicles sold despite the ongoing pandemic. North America followed close behind, with 79,260 units sold, and Europe came in third, with 62,685 cars sold, despite a 7% increase from the previous year. Germany alone saw 29,512 new Porsches delivered to customers.
Looking ahead, Porsche has several new and updated models in the pipeline, including a revised 911, an updated Cayenne, and an electric Boxster, set to debut in the middle of the decade.
