This electrified version of the beloved sports car boasts performance specs that rival the mighty Z06 model, with a combined output of 655 horsepower and an estimated combined torque of 595 pound-feet. Plus, it can reach 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds! Sales start this year with a base price of $104,295.

The all-new 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray hybrid has been revealed, boasting performance specs that rival the already impressive Z06 model. This electrified version of the beloved sports car is powered by a combination of the LT2 V8 engine in the middle and an electric motor at the front. The V8 engine provides 495 horsepower, 470 pound-feet of torque, and an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to the rear wheels. The electric motor, on the other hand, produces 160 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque and powers the front wheels. Together, the hybrid powertrain produces a total output of 655 horsepower, just 15 less than the Z06, and an estimated combined torque of 595 pound-feet, 135 more than the Z06.

Chevy predicts that the E-Ray will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds at 130 mph. These numbers make it 0.1 seconds faster than the Z06. The E-Ray also features a 1.9-kWh battery that sits between the driver and passenger, as well as a compact electric motor at the front. Despite the added powertrain components, the E-Ray only loses 0.1 cubic foot of cargo space compared to the regular Corvette.

The E-Ray receives the same 3.6-inch overall width increase as the Z06 and similar bodywork. It also has the same size wheels and tires, with 20-inch wheels and 275-mm tires at the front and 21-inch wheels and 345-mm tires at the back. Aluminum wheels are standard, but carbon fiber ones are an option. Additionally, the E-Ray comes with Magnetic Ride Control as standard, which is a specific tune for the E-Ray. It also has the same carbon ceramic brakes as the Z06 with the Z07 performance package.

However, the E-Ray does come with a bit of a weight disadvantage, weighing 408 pounds more than a standard Stingray for the coupe and 389 pounds more for the convertible. Fuel economy numbers have not yet been released by Chevy, but the E-Ray will go on sale soon with a base price of $104,295, just $1,000 less than a standard Z06.
