On the exterior, the G70 sports a refined badge with an intricately engraved pattern using the Guilloché decorative technique. Two new eye-catching colors, Kawah Blue and Bartna Grey, have been added, complemented by the introduction of 18- and 19-inch wheels for a touch of sophistication.
Stepping inside, the center console has undergone updates, particularly with the HVAC panel. By integrating functions into a touch panel, conventional controls have been reduced, resulting in a cleaner and more streamlined look. The base G70 now offers ventilated front seats, along with heated rear seats and a sleek frameless rearview mirror. The interior also welcomes new two-tone finishes, including Forest Blue/Vanilla Beige, Obsidian Black/Vanilla Beige, and Obsidian Black/Fog Gray.

However, the most significant change lies beneath the hood. The 2024 Genesis G70 bids farewell to the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, making room for a larger and more powerful 2.5-liter unit. This upgraded engine boasts an impressive output of 300 horsepower, providing an additional 48 hp compared to the current entry-level model available in the United States. Torque has also been increased to 311 pound-feet (422 Newton-meters), surpassing the 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) offered by the US-spec G70.
Genesis has demonstrated its commitment to performance by equipping the base G70 in South Korea with Brembo brakes. Additionally, customers have the option to upgrade to the larger 3.3-liter V6 engine, which remains unchanged. However, it's important to note that the more powerful V6 engine is exclusively available for the sedan variant, while the wagon variant retains the four-cylinder engine.
The 2024 Genesis G70 is now available for purchase in South Korea, with prices starting at 43.15 million won ($32,550) for the four-cylinder sedan and 45.11 million won ($34,000) for the wagon. For those seeking even more power, the V6-powered sedan starts at a minimum of 48.05 million won ($36,200).
