JE Design's Widebody RS kit takes the Cupra Leon to the next level, starting with a new three-piece splitter at the front that can be adjusted for road or race settings. Aerodynamic flaps on the sides of the front bumper improve airflow through the brake ducts and create an air curtain around the vehicle. The kit also includes matching extensions on both axles, side sills, wider front and rear fender add-ons, a larger double roof spoiler, decorative bumper trim pieces, and a new diffuser housing the exhaust pipes.
To complement the enhanced aesthetics, the Cupra Leon Sports Tourer rides on 19-inch BBS CH-R alloy wheels wrapped in 255/30 R19 tires. The vehicle's suspension has been lowered, bringing it 20 mm (0.8 inches) closer to the ground at the front and 10 mm (0.4 inches) at the rear, while retaining the functionality of the electronic DCC chassis control.
Under the hood, JE Design has boosted the turbocharged 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder engine from its stock output of 306 hp (228 kW / 310 PS) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) to a 365 hp (272 kW / 370 PS) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). This makes it more powerful than both the VW Golf R and Audi S3, and on par with ABT's Cupra Leon ST. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a seven-speed DSG automatic and Cupra's 4Drive system.
JE Design showcased the modified Cupra Leon Sports Tourer at the Tuning World Bodensee event. The bodykit alone is priced at €5,199 ($5,624), with the lowered suspension, aftermarket wheels, and power boost available as separate upgrades.
