Hennessey Performance has once again unleashed a powerhouse creation, brimming with exceptional horsepower. Meet the H700, the result of supercharging a Chevrolet C8 Corvette, equipping it with a range of supporting modifications, and fine-tuning it to outshine even the Z06.

Let's be clear, the Z06 remains a different animal when it comes to track capability. Hennessey isn't claiming that the H700 is faster on the track. However, they confidently assert that their supercharged H700 surpasses Chevrolet's flagship C8 Z06 in terms of power output.

To put it simply, while the stock Z06 generates 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, the Hennessey H700 roars with an impressive 708 horsepower and 638 lb-ft of torque. Of course, the supercharged V8 engine in the H700 is significantly different from the one found in the Z06.

Hennessey utilizes the 6.2-liter LT2 V8, the same engine that powers the regular C8 Corvette. They enhance it by adding a high-flow centrifugal supercharger, a new air induction system, an air-to-water intercooler, and an optional high-flow cat-back exhaust system. Then, with all these components in place, they expertly tune the engine.

As with all Hennessey products, the H700 package comes with a comprehensive three-year or 36,000-mile warranty. Additionally, it features a serial numbered engine bay plaque and distinctive Hennessey badging on the car itself. Pricing for the supercharger upgrade and warranty starts at $34,950, while the full package is available for $49,950.

Peak torque for the H700 is reached at 5,000 rpm, and peak power is achieved at 5,900 rpm. This is quite different from the Z06's impressive figures, which peak at 6,300 rpm and 8,400 rpm respectively. It is this difference that truly distinguishes the unique sound signatures of the two Corvettes.

John Hennessey, founder and CEO: “The stock C8 Corvette Stingray is an extraordinary sports car, yet Chevrolet left some V8 performance on the table. Our exciting ‘H700’ supercharger package integrates seamlessly with the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and our exhaust upgrade sounds much more aggressive than stock. Considering that our power and torque surpass the factory Z06, the Hennessey ‘H700’ is arguably the best value high-performance supercar in the world.”

Ultimately, the preference between the H700 and the Z06 boils down to personal taste. Enthusiasts who appreciate the deep growl of a beefed-up V8 engine may lean towards the H700, while those who crave high-revving roars might favor the Z06. It's worth noting that both options sound more aggressive than a stock C8 Corvette Stingray.
