Fisker Inc. plans to open a delivery center in China in 2023 and start delivering the Fisker Ocean SUV in the first quarter of 2024. This move demonstrates Fisker's focus on expanding its presence in the Chinese market, which is expected to be a significant growth market for electric vehicles (EVs).

Fisker aims to capitalize on China's high acceptance of high-quality international automotive brands and the rapid shift towards electrification driven by government policies and consumer behavior. As one of the few EV-only international companies, Fisker sees itself as a viable alternative to traditional brands and believes it can attract Chinese consumers with its unique features, design, and feature-rich EV product.

China represents a substantial market for vehicles, with approximately one-third of global vehicle sales and a significant share of electric vehicle sales. The premium and affordable luxury segment, which Fisker targets with its Ocean SUV, is growing faster than the general segments in China.

Fisker's leadership team has engaged in discussions with officials and business leaders in Shanghai to explore collaborations, opportunities, and development in automotive supply chains, logistics, warehousing, and future production.

With a 113 kWh battery pack the $68,999 Fisker Ocean Extreme has an EPA-estimated range of 360 miles on standard 20” wheels and tires. in Europe the Fisker Ocean Extreme has a WLTP range of 707 km/440 UK miles on standard 20” wheels and tires, which is the longest range of any electric SUV sold in Europe today. The all-electric SUV starts at $37,499 for the Fisker Ocean Sport trim level.
