The specific specifications of the electrified van were not revealed, but the Tesla Model 3 Long Range variant used had a 75 kWh battery pack and an electric motor producing 283 hp (211 kW / 287 PS) in the rear-wheel-drive configuration. The conversion provides improved performance, better handling, and a lower center of gravity compared to the original Ford E-100 Van.
The donor car, the second generation Ford E-100, debuted in 1968, but the model pictured is from the last year of production in 1974, just before the completely redesigned third generation arrived in 1975. Despite its age, the van appeared to be in good condition with a bright orange shade, shiny chromework, and black stripes making for a great starting point.
Conductive Classics is located in Boise, Idaho, and undertakes electromod projects with prices starting at $45,000. Before the 1974 Ford E-100 Van, they had converted a stunning 1964 Ford Galaxy and a 1958 Chevrolet Apache.
