In contrast to the standard Geely Panda that was launched in December 2022, the Knight version boasts multiple exterior modifications aimed at giving it an off-road touch. The vehicle keeps its circular LED headlights but pairs them with an imitation grille made of raw plastic, much like its off-road-ready bumpers and broadened fender flares.
Highlighting elements like tow hooks, hood handles, roof racks, side ladders, and a rear spoiler are made more noticeable with lime green detailing. Additionally, the alloy wheels are redesigned with a new five-spoke pattern, although they maintain the same modest diameter.
The small wheel size and average ground clearance do challenge the vehicle's off-road aesthetic, which seems more for show than actual capability. Existing components such as the greenhouse, doors, molded fenders, and lighting fixtures from the standard Panda seamlessly integrate with the new elements.

The extra features cause the Panda Knight to be somewhat longer, wider, and taller compared to its original version. Yet, it remains fairly compact, measuring 3,135 mm (123.4 inches) in length, 1,565 mm (61.6 inches) in width, and 1,655 mm (65.2 inches) in height, while keeping the 2,015mm (79.3 inches) wheelbase the same.

While it's questionable if the roof-mounted ladder will ever be put to practical use, the vehicle does offer interior space for up to four occupants. When rear seats are folded down, the cargo area expands to a notable 800 lt (28.3 cubic feet). Inside, features like an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, an extended 9.2-inch digital dashboard, air conditioning, nature-inspired color schemes, and customized faux leather seating patterns are offered.
Powering the Panda Knight is the strongest electric motor available in Geely’s urban EV range, delivering 41 hp (30 kW) and 110 Nm (81.1 lb-ft) of torque. The vehicle is also equipped with a larger 17.03 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, capable of covering 200 km (124 miles) based on the CLTC testing standards.
The Panda Knight is set to hit the Chinese market in early September 2023, and its price is anticipated to exceed that of the base model, which is priced between ¥39,900-56,900 ($5,470-7,800). It is poised to compete mainly against the marginally bigger Baojun Yep by SAIC-GM, although the trend of rugged-looking urban EVs is likely to attract additional competitors soon.
