Mercedes-Benz USA has announced pricing details for the upcoming eSprinter, marking its debut as an all-electric van in the U.S. The vehicle is now available for order through authorized dealers in the country.

The soon-to-be-released eSprinter is set to hit the U.S. market featuring a 170-inch (4318 mm) long-wheelbase cargo model, complete with a high-roof layout and equipped with a 113 kWh battery pack. The starting price is $71,886, and it offers a WLTP-estimated range of up to 400 km (~249 miles).

Charging options include a 9.6 AC charger and up to 50 kW via a DC fast charger. Additionally, there's an optional package for DC fast charging at up to 115 kW. According to Mercedes, using the 115 kW charger will take approximately 40 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%, while a wall box charger will take around 12.5 hours for a full charge from 0-100%.

In terms of driving performance, the electric cargo van will come in two variations, offering either 100 or 150 kilowatts of peak power. Mercedes adds that “both generate up to 295 lb.-ft. (400 Nm) of torque for a minimum of 30 seconds.” The maximum speed is capped at 75 mph (120 km/h), and the vehicle provides a cargo space of 488 ft³ (13.8 cubic meters), along with a maximum carrying capacity of 2,624 lbs (1,190 kg).

When initially introduced in February, there was mention of multiple battery options alongside the 113 kWh version, slated to be the first and largest among the options. In the future, the eSprinter aims to offer batteries with usable capacities of 56 or 81 kWh as well.

Mercedes-Benz also touts a range of connectivity services and safety features, including "the latest software generation with innovative technology based on artificial intelligence and an intuitive operating system. Customization was also considered in the design, and Mercedes claims that it "can be upfitted to a mobile workshop or a spacious delivery van. eXpertUpfitter solutions, such as shelving systems, workbenches or heavy-duty wood floors for heavy loads, offer further available customization options for the load compartment."
