The new BMW X1 has been featured in spy photos more than once, and now the brand has officially unveiled the next step in the development of a compact crossover.

Nevertheless, the exterior of the novelty has developed in an evolutionary way and has not received extraordinary changes, retaining its proportions.
The crossover received new bumpers, a radiator grille, main optics and taillights.
Compared to its predecessor, the new BMW X1 is 53mm longer, 24mm wider and 44mm taller, with new dimensions of 4500x1845x1642mm. The wheelbase has grown by 22 mm, the tracks - by 31 mm. The trunk holds from 490 to 1600 liters, depending on the power plant.
The drag coefficient is now 0.26.
In the database, the novelty will receive 17-inch wheels, and 18-inch wheels are provided in the xLine and M Sport trim levels. Optional 20-inch alloy wheels are also available.
The palette of body paint options includes 12 shades, including Frozen from the BMW Individual catalog.
Changes inside
The most notable change in the cabin is the single curved iDrive interface display with the eighth generation operating system, integrating a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch media screen.
Also BMW X1 is equipped with new seats with a large number of adjustments. For a surcharge, you can get sports seats, and for models with internal combustion engines - a rear sofa that slides 13 cm in the longitudinal direction.
Now the “base” includes dual-zone climate control, a sports leather steering wheel, navigation, a forward collision warning system, and a parking assistant. And in the list of settings you can find atmospheric lighting, a panoramic roof, Harman Kardon acoustics.

Whereas the BMW X3 went electric two years ago, the X1 is only now getting the all-electric iX xDrive30 package.
The electric crossover has two engines with a total capacity of 313 hp. and 494 Nm, which gains a hundred in 5.7 seconds, accelerates to 180 km / h and travels 413-438 km on a single charge (according to the WLTP cycle).
Just like other electric cars, the electric BMW X1 features blue accents.
Also in the lineup there are two plug-in hybrids: xDrive25e (245 hp and 477 Nm) and xDrive30e (326 hp and 477 Nm). Both are equipped with a 1.5-liter petrol turbo three (in boost options for 136 and 150 hp), the output of electric motors is 109 and 177 hp. respectively.
Acceleration to 100 km / h takes 6.8 and 5.7 seconds, top speed - 190 and 205 km / h, range in electric mode in both cases varies from 78 to 89 km.
All three "hybrid plug-ins" will arrive on the German market this November. The electric car will cost 55,000 euros, hybrids - 47,550 and 49,950 euros.
A month earlier, sales of four fuel modifications will start:
- sDrive18i (136 hp and 230 Nm, from 41,400 euros);
- xDrive23i (218 hp and 360 Nm, from 49,450 euros);
- sDrive18d (150 hp and 360 Nm, from 43,950 euros);
- xDrive23d (211 hp and 400 Nm, from 50,150 euros).
The top petrol and diesel versions are 48-volt mild hybrids with a 19-hp starter-generator. and 55 Nm. Only a 7-speed robot is offered as a box.
For the USA, only the BMW xDrive28i with a two-liter turbo four with 241 hp has been announced so far. and 400 Nm. Such a crossover will cost a minimum of $38,600.
