Customers who place a 5,000 yuan (about $700) deposit for the Aito M9 receive a $10,000 (roughly $1,400) discount on the final price. Additionally, these early buyers will be given priority in vehicle delivery and exclusive factory visit opportunities.
The Aito M9 presale, which began on September 25, has reportedly received over 20,000 orders. The SUV will be officially available for purchase next month.
Dimensionally, the Aito M9 measures 5,230 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a 3,110 mm wheelbase. It comes with two tire sizes: 265/40 R22 and 285/40 R22. Available in both electric vehicle (EV) and range extender (EREV) versions, the M9 caters to diverse driving needs.
Aito M9
The EV model features a dual-motor setup from Huawei, with front and rear motors delivering 160 kW and 230 kW respectively. Equipped with a 97.682 kWh CATL ternary battery pack, it boasts a 630 km cruising range and supports 800V platform charging.
The EREV variant combines a 1.5T engine producing 112 kW with two electric motors (165 kW front, 112 kW rear). Its 40.055 kWh battery pack allows for up to 175 km of pure electric range.
Aito, a joint venture between Huawei and Seres, oversees the production of the M9, with Huawei providing electric motors, chips, sensors, and other components. Aito's current lineup in China includes the M5 and M7 SUVs, with the M7 recently achieving over 40,000 orders. Production of the M9 has commenced in China, with sales starting in December.
