The latest iteration of Renault's Master Van introduces significant advancements in design, aerodynamics, and power options. This fourth-generation model boasts an innovative Multi-Energy Platform and an Aerovan design focused on peak efficiency.

The van's front features a robust style enhanced by full-LED headlights. A notable achievement is the 20% improvement in the aerodynamic drag coefficient compared to its predecessor, contributing to reduced fuel consumption.

Renault offers the Master in 20 different body types, with cargo volumes ranging from 11 to 22 cubic meters. Enhancements include a wider entry through the side sliding door (40 mm increase) and an extended loading length (+100 mm). The van's payload capacity reaches up to 2 tons. Improved maneuverability is evident with a 1.5-meter reduction in the turning circle, making the L3 version ideal for city traffic.

The Multi-Energy Platform allows for various powertrains. Diesel options include engines with 105, 130, 150, or 170 horsepower, achieving an average reduction of 1.5 liters per 100 km in fuel consumption and 39 grams per km in CO2 emissions.

Transmission choices include a standard manual or a new 9-speed automatic.

Electric versions feature two motor options - 96 or 105 kW, delivering 300 Nm of torque. Battery capacities of 40 kWh and 87 kWh offer ranges of 180 km and over 410 km, respectively, in the WLTP cycle. The electric model's maximum payload is 1.625 kg, with a towing capacity of 2.5 tons.

A 130 kW DC fast charger can replenish 229 km of range in 30 minutes, while a 22 kW AC Wallbox can charge from 10 to 100% in less than four hours. Additionally, a hydrogen fuel cell variant is planned for the future.

The van's interior is redesigned for functionality, featuring an S-shaped dashboard, a 10-inch display standard across all models, and an adjustable steering wheel. Storage space has increased by 25%, totaling 135 liters. The middle seat backrest converts into a table, and the seat lifts to reveal a laptop storage compartment. Multiple seating options and USB-C ports are available.

For infotainment, the Master incorporates the standard OpenR Link multimedia system, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also includes over 20 driver assistance systems, such as side impact stabilization, automatic emergency braking, trailer assistance, and an intelligent speed assistant.

The new Renault Master is set to hit the market in early 2024, with prices yet to be announced.
