Since its launch in 2011, the third-generation Fiat Panda has become a familiar sight on European roads. Despite its age, Fiat, under the Stellantis group, plans to keep selling this model until at least 2026, and possibly longer if the Euro 7 environmental regulations are postponed.

The current Panda will peacefully coexist with a next-generation model due next summer, according to Automotive News Europe. It’ll be a bigger vehicle likely called New Panda with mild hybrid and purely electric powertrains. It’s expected to be manufactured at the factory in Kragujevac, Serbia whereas the existing model comes from the Pomigliano d'Arco plant in Italy.

The next-generation Panda will be built on the 'Smart Car' platform, first seen in the Citroën ë-C3. The ë-C3, a compact French car, is priced at €23,300 for its electric version, offering a range of 320 kilometers (199 miles) per charge. Fiat also plans to introduce an even more affordable electric vehicle by early 2025, priced under €20,000 and capable of 200 kilometers (124 miles) on a single charge.
