Jeep recently posted and then hastily removed photos of its Wagoneer S model, which is anticipated to be the brand's first EV targeting the US market. The mistake occurred on Facebook, where Jeep's social media handler made an unintended faux pas, allowing the images to be downloaded before they were taken down.

Mopar Insiders reported obtaining these leaked photos of the Wagoneer S from a reader. The images gave enthusiasts their first look at the upcoming electric vehicle (EV). Observers quickly noted that the new model bears a resemblance to the 2022 concept and exudes a Range Rover Velar vibe.

Jeep has set plans in motion to sell the Wagoneer S this fall, catered to North American consumers and other select markets. It will flesh out Jeep's lineup as an electrified option alongside its existing gas-powered variants.

Key details of the highly-anticipated Wagoneer S (2025) include its all-wheel-drive system powered by two electric motors and formidable 600 horsepower capability, aiming for breath-taking acceleration with 0-60 mph (96 km/h) achievable in just 3.5 seconds.

Information disclosed by Stellantis a few days ago gives hints that the Wagoneer S will likely sit on its STLA Large Platform. Jeep and Dodge are expected to lead with models based on this platform launched primarily for North America starting in 2024.

The STLA Large Platform itself is engineered flexibly for different configurations including both 400-volt and 800-volt setups, boasting battery capacities ranging between 85 to 118 kWh. This enables up to 500 miles (800 km) range on a single charge for sedans, though SUVs may see slightly less due to their bulkier dimensions.

Jeep not only eyes present capabilities but also ensures future improvements by promising over-the-air updates for propulsion system performance enhancements. Notably, while the Wagoneer S is an EV-only model, the versatile STLA platform underpinning it is designed to support various powertrains.
