A special feature of the Turbo GT is the Attack Mode, which provides up to 120kW of extra power for 10 minutes.

As recently announced, Porsche is presenting the Taycan Turbo GT. The top version of the facelifted Taycan offers up to 815 kW of drive power, which is 115 kW more than the previous top version, the Turbo S. The version with the Weissach package sprints to 100 km/h in 2.2 seconds and reaches speeds of up to 305 km/h.

More important than performance and sprint data for Porsche is probably that the car performs well on the Nürburgring. And there, a pre-production version with the Weissach package was 26 seconds faster than the Turbo S with the Performance package.

The Taycan Turbo GT has 580 kW of power with or without the track package. With Launch Control, the power output rises to 760 kW, and for two seconds it reaches 815 kW. Maximum torque on both versions is 1,340 Nm.

The Taycan Turbo GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds, a tenth of a second less with the Weissach package. The difference is greater for the 200 km/h sprint: the Taycan Turbo GT takes 6.6 and 6.4 seconds respectively, the Turbo S up to 1.3 seconds longer. The top speed of the Turbo GT is 290 km/h, with the Weissach package 305 km/h. Prices start at around 250,000 Euros. That's around €33,000 more than the Turbo S, which is only a tenth or two slower in the sprint.

Porsche says nothing about a three-engine powertrain, as had been suspected. The manufacturer mentions in the press release that the Taycan received a new rear engine in the last facelift. It is not clear whether the Turbo GT has the same hardware.

In any case, a more powerful and efficient inverter is used on the rear axle. It operates at up to 900 amps, giving even more power and torque than the 600-amp unit on the Turbo S. Silicon carbide semiconductors are used for higher efficiency and therefore more range. Silicon carbide technology is also used in the new Macan's rear axle drive. In addition, the gear ratio has been modified and the robustness of the transmission has been improved to withstand the high torque.

A special feature of the Turbo GT is the Attack Mode. Activated at the touch of a button, it provides additional power of up to 120 kW for 10 minutes. The function is based on the "Push to Pass" technology of the other Taycan models, but offers 50 kW more.

The weight of the Taycan Turbo GT has been reduced by up to 75 kilos compared to the Turbo S thanks to lightweight construction. Numerous carbon parts contribute to this. The "Porsche Active Ride" suspension is also standard; it has been specially adapted to the GT engine.

The equipment also includes high-performance tyres on lightweight 21-inch forged wheels and ceramic brakes, which are based on the Porsche Carbon-Ceramic Braking System (PCCB) but are over two kilos lighter.

The visual features include a special front spoiler and an adaptive rear wing - meaning that it is not fixed, but adapts to the driving situation or mode. LED headlights with Matrix technology come as standard. There is also a choice of six body colours. Inside, there is a mixture of sporty Race-Tex equipment and black leather.

The Weissach package for the Taycan Turbo GT includes aerodynamic improvements such as air deflectors and a different front diffuser, resulting in a downforce of up to 220 kilos. To make the car lighter, unnecessary equipment features have been removed, saving around 70 kilos. This includes removing rear seats, the analogue clock, floor mats, and reducing insulation material. The Taycan Turbo GT also features a manual tailgate on the passenger side, instead of electrically operated tailgates on both sides like the regular version. Other weight-saving measures include lighter glass panes and the omission of rear loudspeakers. It is unclear why an audio system is included in the car since racing experts are unlikely to use it.

Deliveries of the Taycan Turbo GT will begin this spring, with a starting price of around €250,000.
