Ford announced the launch of a new Ford Focus ST Edition, which might be the final version of its manual hot hatch as the company plans to discontinue the Ford Focus model by 2025.

This move is seen as a farewell to the internal combustion engine (ICE) model that has been part of Ford's lineup for years. The new hot hatch is already available for order in select European markets, promising fans one last thrill from the renowned vehicle.

The Focus ST Edition is priced at £42,905 in the UK (€50,165). It distinguishes itself with some upgrades from the regular Focus ST, including chassis enhancements and a distinctive aesthetic appeal.

Among its notable features are chassis upgrades like adjustable coilover suspension and Brembo brakes. The Focus ST Edition dons an RS-style Azura Blue color complemented by High Gloss Black accents, adding to its visual allure. Furthermore, it rolls on lighter 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels fitted with high-performance Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, a change from the previous Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

Inside, occupants are treated to a blend of luxury and performance with black leather and Alcantara materials adorned with white stripes and Motion Blue stitching. It doesn't skimp on technology either, featuring a B&O audio system, Driver Assist Pack, and Winter Pack for enhanced comfort and convenience.

The suspension system undergoes a comprehensive overhaul with a two-way adjustable coilover setup from KW Automotive, meticulously tuned by Ford Performance at the Nürburgring. This system promises over 50 percent more stiffness compared to standard settings and offers extensive adjustability for customized driving experiences.

Powering this beast is a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that delivers 280 hp and 420 Nm torque through a six-speed manual transmission to the front wheels. An electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD) aids in handling dynamics, facilitating an acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.

The Focus ST Edition joins the existing Focus ST line-up that offers five-door and wagon body styles with the option of a seven-speed automatic transmission.
