Ahead of the Pikes Peak challenge, Hyundai will unveil two modified versions of the 5 N at the end of May during the Nurburgring 24H event. Hyundai Ioniq 5 N
Driving the standard spec Ioniq 5 N will be Paul Dallenbach, an 11-time Pikes Peak winner and a former overall record-setter in 1993, and Ron Zaras, a former Hoonigan executive. Meanwhile, Robin Shute, a four-time winner, and Dani Sordo, a seasoned WRC driver, will handle the modified versions.
Till Wartenberg, head of N Brand and Motorsport at Hyundai, made a statement about their return to Pikes Peak. He expressed confidence in their stronger return with the class-leading electric SUV Ioniq 5 N. He reminisced about Hyundai's long history at Pikes Peak since 1992 and emphasized that the Ioniq 5 N represents a step forward in high-performance electric cars. He assured that "The production spec Ioniq 5 N will demonstrate what customers can expect from their vehicles."
