Historically, the Porsche 911 has featured an analog tachometer since the mid-1960s. The upcoming model replaces it with a 12.6-inch curved digital display that offers seven configurable screen designs. One of these designs includes a "Classic Mode," which replicates the traditional five-gauge setup with the tachometer at the center.
Besides the digital transformation of its dashboard, the new 911 also switches out its traditional ignition switch for a start/stop button. However, in homage to its roots, this button remains on the left side of the steering wheel, nodding to the historic Le Mans racing starts.
The manual gearbox will be absent in the initial offering of this model but might make a comeback post-2025. Additionally, rear seats are not standard but can be included at no additional cost.
Key updates also include Matrix LED headlights and rear-wheel steering as well as introducing a hybrid engine setup in the Carrera GTS version for the first time.
