The CX1E is part of Zeekr's ambitious plan to introduce seven models by 2026. While some models may remain exclusive to China, such as the minivan-shaped Zeekr Mix, others will be launched in expanding markets like Mexico, South Korea, and Western Europe.
Visually, the CX1E resembles an SUV version of the Zeekr 007 sedan, featuring a similar front lightbar and a thin rear taillight bar with integrated brake and reverse lights near the bumper. The rear door shut line matches the rear wheel opening, and there’s a LiDAR sensor above the windshield, mirroring the higher-trimmed Zeekr 007.
The CX1E is expected to utilize the same Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) as the Zeekr 007. This likely means it will have a partially megacast chassis and over 600 horsepower, along with an 800-volt architecture. In the 007, this architecture allows a peak DC fast-charging rate of 500 kW. If the CX1E features the same 75 kWh battery, it could charge from 10-80% in about twelve minutes, significantly faster than the Tesla Model Y's 30 minutes for the same charge.

Despite the promising features, Zeekr faces challenges in entering the U.S. and European markets due to increasing hostility towards Chinese brands. However, as a Geely brand responsible for significant vehicle development, it’s possible that the CX1E's technology could appear in future Volvo or Polestar models. A well-sized, competitively priced, and strategically manufactured Volvo-ized CX1E could serve as a strong replacement for the XC60.
Zeekr representatives have stated that the official launch name and specifications for the CX1E will be announced at a later date.
