Hyundai’s facelifted Ioniq 6 EV for MY26 is adopting a split-headlight setup, as revealed by new spy shots of the car's design.

The revised Ioniq 6, currently undergoing testing in Europe, shows significant changes compared to the earlier updates on the Ioniq 5. The most notable alteration is in the front-end design, featuring a new square-shaped hood with a defined point at each corner. This redesign eliminates space for traditional one-piece headlight units, moving the lights down into the bumper. The DRLs appear just below the hood line, with the main headlight units positioned underneath, similar to the setup on Hyundai’s Kona SUV.

While changes at the rear are harder to discern, it’s likely the rear LED lights have been tweaked. The interior is expected to receive minor trim updates along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Additionally, the facelifted Ioniq 6 will feature a range boost, switching from a 77.4 kWh battery to an 84 kWh unit, following a change already made to the Ioniq 5. The current powertrains – 225 hp (228 PS) single-motor and 320 hp (324 PS) dual-motor – are expected to remain, with the new addition of an Ioniq 6 N. This high-performance variant will offer a 641 hp (650 PS) twin-motor setup and a simulated paddle-shift transmission from the Ioniq 5 N.

The updated Ioniq 6 is set to be revealed in 2025.
